Faithful Citizenship: The social mission of the Catholic Church teaches us that we have a two-fold reason to vote in local, State and national elections.  The first is the right or privilege we have as citizens of the U.S., and the second is the responsibility we have to exercise this right in giving voice to pursuing the ways in which our Catholic beliefs on important issues will be carried.  On every issue, in order to vote, we need to be informed and focused on the common good.  The Church speaks on issues only.  We do not endorse, promote, or campaign for specific candidates.  To do so would be a clear violation of the separation of Church and State.

This year, we are not going to register people to vote, but we do have the information and applications available.  You will find application forms in the boxes at the entrance and exit to the tent, and also at the entrances to the mauka Churches.  Please take the material as you need it.  Make your vote count!
