Alleluias fill the air this Easter day. We light the new fire to remind us that Christ is, indeed, the light of the world. The new water is blessed and all of us will once again renew our Baptismal promises. This is the day we have looked forward to with joy and anticipa tion. This is the pinnacle of our cele bration of the Pas chal Mystery, the Resurrection of the Lord.
On this day, we add the names of ten new members to our faith community. At the Easter Vigil, nine adults and chil dren will receive the Sacraments of Initiation. Please wel come the following: Roxanne Llanes, Vale and Becky Wil son along with their sons Talon and Aden; Arrora Calvert; Luke and Orion Friels; and Shalee Minamishin.
Candidates for full participation (those who have al ready been baptized) and are preparing to become Catholics, are received into the church whenever they have completed their preparation. Today, I am pleased to announce that Mindy Finnegan will receive Holy Eucharist for the first time at the 9am Mass. She has been preparing for this day with her men tor and godpar ent, Loraine Gateley. Please join me in wel coming Mindy into our One Catholic ‘Ohana.
